Introduction
Whether you are an advanced player or a youngster looking for an introduction to basketball, Basketball Science can help you achieve success both on and off the court. Our programs are designed to use basketball as a “tool” to assist young people with their athletic, educational, professional and life skill development. By offering programs that encompass the three core development areas of academic training, basketball training and personal development coaching, Basketball Science has established itself as one of the most complete (and affordable!) basketball programs available today!
Current and former NCAA Divsion 1 college players who are passionate and knowledgeable about the game of basketball coach participants on the fundamentals of basketball including dribbling, ball handling, passing, shooting, and rebounding. Coaches focus on individual skill development and the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork and fair play.
Current and former County School Board certified teachers provide coaching support in the classroom. Our teachers coach participants on the fundamentals of academics including comprehension, mathematics, test taking skills and practice standardized tests (FCAT/SAT).
Personal development coaching is provided by a list of former NBA players, local small business owners and corporate executives that deliver powerful messages tailored to youth of all ages. Mentoring, guest speaking, hands on activities and job shadowing are a few of the coaching tools our guest speakers use to promote personal development.
In addition to providing instruction in the three core development areas mentioned above, Basketball Science promotes educational excellence and basketball events for the purpose of obtaining exposure, college scholarships, internships, employment and networking opportunities for its participants.
